Consultation

Consultation for Therapists

Therapy can become especially complex when working with trauma, dissociation, and relational dynamics. Even experienced clinicians can find themselves with cases that feel unclear, stuck, or difficult to fully track.

I offer consultation as a space to think collaboratively about your work—particularly when you’re navigating complexity and want a more nuanced understanding of what’s happening in the room.

Areas of Focus

I commonly support therapists working with:

  • Complex or developmental trauma

  • Dissociation and parts-based systems

  • EMDR cases that feel blocked or looping

  • High-conflict couples or attachment injuries

  • Clients with chronic reactivity, shutdown, or polarization

  • Clinical decision-making in higher-risk or ambiguous situations

EMDR Consultation

As an EMDR International Association Approved Consultant, I provide consultation for therapists working toward EMDR certification, as well as those looking to deepen their use of EMDR in practice.

This can include:

  • Case conceptualization and treatment planning

  • Navigating incomplete or stalled processing

  • Integrating EMDR with parts-based or attachment-focused approaches

  • Strengthening pacing, attunement, and clinical decision-making

My Approach

I approach consultation as a shame-free, collaborative process rather than a top-down one.

My role is not to offer a “right way” to do therapy, but to help you:

  • Track what’s happening more clearly

  • Understand the internal logic of your client’s system

  • Work more effectively with protective responses and complexity

  • Expand your range while staying grounded in your own clinical style

The goal is for you to leave with a clearer sense of direction, not just more information.

Background

My consultation is informed by experience across private practice, crisis response, and systems-based work, including collaboration with law enforcement and community agencies in high-risk situations.

This background shapes how I approach complexity, risk, and clinical decision-making—particularly in cases where multiple dynamics are unfolding at once.

Who This Is For

This may be a good fit if you:

  • Are working with cases that feel stuck despite solid effort

  • Are trained in EMDR, IFS, or attachment-based approaches and want to deepen your work

  • Value a thoughtful, process-oriented approach to clinical work

  • Are looking for a space to think more clearly and flexibly about your cases
